TRANSFORMERS THE MUSIC PAGE 11
Music Index

Collected on this page is the Transformers music that didn't fit in the other pages , like fanmade cd's , remix cd's and records, related music. The only thing I don't list is music with small references to Transformers, like many hip-hop records have.

First up are the Dutch Botcon cd's. These are fanmade cd's complete with booklet and all given away for free every year at the Dutch Transformers conventions. This tradition began in 2000 and already ended in 2002.
More info on these conventions and the Dutch fanclub here.

NEDERBOTCON 2000
This fanmade cd was given for free at the third Dutch Transformers convention. I personally missed this convention , because I only heard of it existence on the day it was held , but I got a copy of it on the 2003 convention. It contains some selfmade mixes and exclusive tracks by Tony Bacala.

The back of the sleeve, it even has a barcode (probably from a bottle of beer or so)

NEDERBOTCON 2001 CD
For the Dutch convention of 2001. 16 tracks and a bonus video. Most are mixes of rock music with Transformers samples. Very cool is the Japanese song which is a frantic speedy track with lots of Japanese Transformers shouting and screaming, at the end there's a sample of Bumblebee asking Prime "What was that all about" , "I don't know Bumblebee". The artwork on the cover was for sale at the convention.

DUTCHBOTCON 2002 CD
Made for the Dutch convention of 2002. Same routine as the 2001 disc. Less people worked on it though. Fun is the first track which uses dialogue from the movie that was made at the convention of 2001.

DUTCH BOTCONTF 2003
Unfortunately the 2003 DutchBotconTF convention didn't have a cd to celebrate it, so I decided to make one myself containing, kind of, a soundtrack to the G1 series. Except for the themes, it also has a lot of background score without dialogue.
Tracklisting;
1) Season 1 Opening Theme
2) Season 2 Opening Theme
3) Season 3 Opening Theme
4) Bumper Music
5) to 7) Original Background Score
8) to 73) Background Music Directly From The Series
74) to 79) Collection Of About 60 instrumental Pieces That Were Floating Around The Net
80) Generic Rock Theme
81) Generic Rock Theme 2
82) Season 1 Ending Theme
83) Season 2 Ending Theme
84) Transformers Theme (Remix)
85) Johnny Douglas , In Concert
86) Rob Walsh , Young Warriors Theme

These two are made by Warpath Joossie. They contain the same kind of tracks like on the Dutchbot cd's , since he also helped with those.

TONY BACALA is the owner of Tfw2005 and mixes samples of dialogue and music mostly with hip hop beats. It's the Transformers music remixed in very funky ways. Although I do think he has the tendency just to put out everything he makes , instead of only selecting the best stuff ,it's still highly recommended for the TF music fans. OUNDWAVE VS. BLASTER (nov.2002)
This is a one track cd, limited to 175 pieces togiven to the first people who ordered the new Soundwave vs.Blaster litograph.

August 2003 cd release by Tony Bacala, collecting everything he made in MP3 format. 180 Tracks of Transformers madness. Buy it here.

Check out www.tfw2005.com to keep up to date with his latest mp3 's and cd's. Look for a dealer table selling cd's here.

This is a fanmade cd and came out in Oktober 2002. Except for the titles, it doesn't have much to do with Transformers. According to the artists, the music, which resembles Tangerine dream a little, is inspired by the TF's though. You can buy it here. It has the following tracks;
Transfuture / Transport to oblivion / Walther p-38 / Prime construct / Botwerk / Gestalt

JAGGED TRANSFORMERS

A cd by Andreas Urban. It's a German composer and the music is made for the Japanese Typhoon company's Jagged computer game. It has 15 tracks, 60 minutes of music and came out in February of 2000. I'm not sure if this is an officially pressed audio cd or not. Check out

ACTION CARTOON THEME ALBUM

A fanmade cd containing lots of eighties and nineties cartoon themes like Transformers, GI Joe, Heman, Voltron and Dragonball Z. The back has movie artwork. I got this from an Ebay auction. The picture on the left is the front, on the right the back.

SHOCKWAVE
This band is a super-group of sorts, with members from a few other hugely popular Christian Hardcore bands (XDiscipleX A.D., Dodgin' Bullets, & others).  So, even though the lyrics are rather rough and grumbly, rest assured there are no "objectionable lyrics" (and no overtly Christian lyrics either).

Thanks to Dave for providing this info and pointing out their latest releases!

A well known underground cd. This has a couple of tracks named after Transformers characters and features some samples from the cartoon at the start of some songs. It's very very hardcore heavy guitar music. Buy it if you want to tease the neighbours.

SHOCKWAVE , OMEGA SUPREME THE COMPLETE COLLECTION 1996/2001 (Nov.2001)

A collection of this heavy metal band. I haven't heard this cd, but I know this isn't Stan Bush! Check out Amazon.com for soundsamples.
Bruticus / Merge for the kill / Revenge / Chamelicon / Autohate / 6. Blood Drinker 7. Warriors of Cobra
8. Goldwrec 9. Circle Like Wolves 10. Paper Doll 11. Shockwave 12. Swindle 13. Dirge 14. Frenzy 15. Deadend 16. Ravage 17. Shrapnel 18. Devestator 19. Kickback 20. Bombshell 21. Warpath 22. Ironhide [Demo Version] 23. Buzzsaw [Demo Version.

Shockwave , The Ultimate doom

The latest cd from this group. This was released on March the 9th 2004 (Triple crown B0001BXYR4). Check out Amazon for soundsamples.

ASH , INTERGALACTIC SONIC 7'S (Nov 2002), 2cd

A greatest hits by UK band Ash. Not related to Transformers, except that Dreamwave made the sleeve for this one and it's kind of Transformers influenced. This is the normal 2cd set.

This is a special promotional cd with a polythene sleeve from the Ash album.

It was also released as a 4 record lp box set...pics from Ebay

MAMPI SWIFTt was a drum'n bass band that produced a record that had some Transformers influences. I don't have it myself, so I can't tell what's on it, but the song is divided into two 12" records, an "Autobot" (a double 12") and a "Decepticon" version (part 2). Except that it has Transformers songtitles like Soundwave or Smokescreen , it doesn't seem to have much to do with Transformers.

ROLL OUT , More than beats and rhymes
This is a 12" single by hip hop artist D Stroy and came out on Matador records in 2001. This rapper used the beginning chords of the end title music of the Transformers theme as a beat. This actually sounds very good and there are some snippets from the cartoon included also. Side a has 4 tracks;
Radio / Dirty / Beat for mc's (Instrumental) / Performance. Side b has 4 versions of a non Transformers track The show must go on.
Click
here for a kind of bad picture of the back. D-Stroy uses a logo that resembles the Decepticon logo by the way, very nice.

DJ SHIRO , ROLL OUT (remix)
Nice looking 12" on red vinyl (N2O-015RE-1). This has a bunch of Optimus Prime pictures on it. The track is based around Transformers samples and is Jungle/House music.

An Ebay find. This country influenced cd is by Michael Chain. He is known as the voice for Powerglide and Hoist. If you like voice actors, check out the Aristocats soundtrack on Walt Disney records. It has the voice of Jazz singing , very funny to hear.

CYANTIFIC , GHETTO BLASTER

This cd came out in March of 2006. It doesn't have anything to do with Transformers , except that the sleeve is "somewhat" inspired by it. Looks very cool. The music is drum and bass, Order it at Amazon. A hard to find , but great for display , triple lp set is available too. It's a great listen too!

1. Flashback - Cyantific & Logistics
2. Ghetto Blaster
3. Don't Follow - Cyantific & Dianne Charlemange
4. Cover Story - Cyantific & Matrix
5. Power Surge
6. Output
7. Snowflake
8. Riviera
9. Neon Skyline
10. Little Green Men
11. Solar Flares
12. Asia

Note that the 3lp set only has six tracks, something common in house music...I was a bit disappointed though. At least the sleeve is great!

One of the singles, Ghetto blaster has a variation on the sleeve;

The second Cyantific single came without a picture sleeve, but was still Transformers inspired;
UNDISLOSED , TRANSFORM DESIRE / TRANSFORM DESIRE V2.mp3

Another drum & bass 12" record. I have this record, but not a scanner, so no picture unfortunately. It doesn't have a picture sleeve, but the Autobot symbol is printed on the record label. It's kind of a drum and bass remix of the Transformers theme by Lion, with Movie narration thrown in. It's quite good actually and worth tracking down for the music only.

UNDISLOSED , TRANSFORM DESIRE / TRANSFORM DESIRE V2.mp3 (booty 02.1)

Another drum & bass 12" record from 2007.
