HOME TRANSFORMERS THE MUSIC PAGE 3 Music Index FRENCH THEME SONG RECORDS Japan and France were similar in the eighties when it came to anime shows. France translated many of the Japanese shows and in both countries soundtracks were released on albums and theme songs on singles. In the case of Transformers, Japan released one album with 16 tracks , a bunch of cassette albums and a lot of 7" singles with the opening and ending themes. France had a couple of singles only. Except for the first one below, the theme songs were not the ones we know from the American version. It was common in these countries to produce their own themes. This has the French theme song on side A , and amazingly, an extended version of the ending theme from the American show on the B-side. More about it here. For Transformers they use the French original song "Pour un monde meilleur". This single was released in France in 1987 and is the new theme to the Season 3. Unlike the first single, this didn't have any original score on it's b-side. It did have two French songs about the TF's; "La guerre des robots " and "Transformers pour un monde meilleur" , which was also the a-side of the first single. The A-side was written by F.
